Review: MAC RiRi Woo lipstick

Hi guys! After having waited for Rihanna’s lipstick RiRi Woo for a few days, I finally got the lipstick yesterday in the mail. I am so exicted to show you how it looks and to share my thoughts about it. 20130509-124715.jpg

RiRi Woo is a gorgeous classic red lipstick with a blue based undertone and as this lipstick has a Retro Matte finish the lipstick is very matte and has a slightly dry texture.

Being that RiRi Woo is based on MAC’s Ruby Woo lipstick, these lipsticks are almost identical. RiRi Woo has a slightly deeper and cooler tone, however when applying it you can’t tell the difference of the two shades. The only difference which is noticable is the finish and the texture of the lipsticks. RiRi Woo has more of a matte finish, it’s dryer and has a waxier texture than Ruby Woo.

I actually prefer matte and dry lipsticks, simply because they usually last longer on the lips and I don’t have to worry about reapplying it as often as I would with glossier finish. Being that RiRi Woo is blue based it makes the appearence of much whiter teeth which is always good.

Overall I love this classic red lipstick, but even though I didn’t expect RiRi Woo to be a totally different shade, I personally feel like Rihanna could have created a new and unique shade that stood out more. However I’m glad I ordered it because I think you can never have too many red lipsticks plus I’m a huge Rihanna fan.

Step-by-step: Neutral cut crease with a pop of color

Hi loves! I just realized that I haven’t done a step-by-step post in a very long time, so this is what I came up with today. Let me know what you think!

Step-by-step:
1. Start by priming the eyelid to prevent the eyeshadows from creasing. Apply a white base to the entire eyelid.
2. Pat on a off white eyeshadow on the eyelid.
3. Apply a skin tone eyeshadow to the crease and blend with a blending brush.
4. With a dense eyeshadow brush, apply a dark brown to the crease and blend.
5. To cut the crease, take the same dense eyeshadow brush and apply a black eyeshadow to the crease of the eye.
6. Blend out the harsh lines.
7. Reapply the off white eyeshadow to the lid.
8. Do a winged eyeliner using liquid or cream eyeliner.
9. Take a turquoise eye pencil and apply it to the waterline. Set the pencil with a turquoise eyeshadow.
10. Apply some false eyelashes or mascara.
11. Apply a coat of mascara on the bottom lashes

RiRi ❤loves M.A.C

Rihanna’s first collection with MAC cosmetics was launched yesterday and I just ordered her lipstick RiRi Woo. This lipstick is apparently based on MAC’s beloved Ruby Woo lipstick (my all time favorite red lipstick) but with RiRi Woo being a slightly deeper and bluer tone of red. I’m super exicted to try the lipstick and I can’t wait until it’s here!

Review: Philosophy 27 Wishes

Hi! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Today I’m reviewing 27 Wishes by Philosophy that came in the mail the other day. This multi-purpose nurturing balm can be used for solving multiple skin concerns such as dry patches on the skin, sunburn or skin irritation.

This is my first time trying any products by Philosophy and I am very impressed. My cuticles are usually rough and dry, and after using this balm serveral times the skin is much softer. I love how the thick formula instantly smoothes and moistruizes the skin.

If you have stretch marks, cracked heels, dry elbows or knees the unique blend of different natural oils helps to condition and soften the skin as well as give the skin extra dewiness.

Have you tried any skin care products by Philosophy?
xx

Hello All,

They say imitation is the highest form of flattery. I love Nicole's beauty blog. I love her makeup looks and she has inspired me to fill in my eyebrows. I was inspired to recreate one of her makeup photos she had done on her blog recently. Hopefully, my eyebrows live up to the task. I did not add false eyelashes because I am going to work.
